Rizz/tizz spectrum
1.The founder-evaluation axis running from rizz (charisma: can recruit, fundraise, magnetize) to tizz (short for 'tism, i.e. autism: obsessive technical depth). The ideal founder has both; "all tiz and no rizz" means brilliant but unbackable.
Great demo, but he's all tiz and no rizz; nobody senior will follow him.
01Origin
The component joke came first: "tizz rizz" as a compression of "autism rizz" was circulating on X by April 2024. The raw materials are "rizz" (charisma, Oxford's 2023 word of the year) and "'tism," internet shorthand for autism, both long since naturalized in SF, a city that has always quietly believed its best engineers sit somewhere particular on one spectrum and its best fundraisers on the other.
As a named framework it belongs to Arielle Zuckerberg, general partner at Long Journey Ventures, who laid out the "Rizz & Tiz" theory on the Sourcery podcast in March 2025 and formalized it in a December 2025 essay and post: "Rizz = magnetic leadership. Tizz = neurodivergent superpower," with the combination marking the founders who "bend reality." Business Insider covered it; "all tiz and no rizz" became a repeatable VC put-down within the week.
The framework has drawn criticism for cutesifying autism into a hiring filter, which has not slowed its adoption. Spelling is unsettled (tiz, tizz); this compendium follows the coiner's essay. Where a founder lands on the spectrum determines which other entries apply: high-rizz founders end up at the singles mixer, high-tizz founders end up locked in.
